2. Rule Change         NRR 21 - Administration of a Rally: (new) 21.10 Podium Ceremonies

Purpose:    With the creation of two significant championships in the CRC, there needs to be event recognition of the Overall 2WD championship.

New 21.10     At the conclusion of competition at a national championship event, separate podium ceremonies for the top three finishers in both the Overall 4WD and Overall 2WD will be held.  The event may have other podium ceremonies of its choosing.  (The participants in the podiums shall be as best judged by the organizers at the end of the event and before the official conclusion of the inquiry and scoring processes.)

3. Advisory Notice    NRR 12.8.7  Production 4WD Weight

As a result of concerns brought forward concerning the minimum weight in Production 4WD, the Board of Directors recognizes that the original data used to set the current limit may have been too narrow in scope.  Accordingly, the Board has directed the CARS Technical Director to collect further information and review the limit prior to the 2014 competition season. In the intervening time, NRR 12.8.7 will not apply to Production 4WD vehicles entered in Canadian Rally Championship events.

4. Further Changes to follow

Finally, the present wording of the championship section (Section 25) will need changes to reflect the new class structure. The CARS board is currently working on the details, and will release further updates shortly.
